The Best Roofing Contractors in Florida City, FL: 11 Licensed Firms (2026)
By Shelly Marchetti, Florida homeowner advocate. Reviewed by Hal Winstead, Editor, licensed roofing contractor.
The rain had barely stopped over Modello when I pulled up to that pale-yellow ranch on Southwest 232nd Street, the one with the new metal roof that didn't leak but still made the owner nervous. Hurricane Irma had torn half the shingles off her neighbor's place two streets over, and she wanted to know if her contractor had done it right. I crawled throught the attic that afternoon, flashlight in hand, and found the nails holding—but just barely.
So when I sat down to build this list, I didn't trust word of mouth or flashy websites. I went straight to the Florida DBPR licence roll and checked every company against it, one by one. Of the eleven I started with, only four came back with an active roofing licence. That's the difference betwen a real contractor and someone who just owns a ladder. Before you hire anyone, run them through every roofing company we list in Florida City yourself. Your roof's the only thing between your couch and the next storm.
Short answer: the 11 best roofing companies in Florida City, Florida are led by Eagle Of The Keys Roofing Contractor Inc, Rapid Roofing Inc and Molina's Roofing. Of the 11 listed here, 4 hold a verified Florida DBPR roofing licence, which is the single check worth doing before anyone climbs on your roof. Rankings below use licence status, review volume, rating and photo evidence — all public, all reproducible.
If you would rather browse the full list rather than my shortlist, every one of them is on the Florida City roofing companies directory page — this post is the 11 I would call first.
How this list was ranked. Every company here was cross-checked against the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation licence roll; 4 of 11 returned an active roofing licence (type CCC or RC), and the licence number is printed on each entry so you can verify it yourself. After licence status, ordering uses Google review count (capped so a big chain cannot buy the top spot on volume alone), star rating, and whether the company has photos and published hours. Nobody paid to appear on this list.

How to check any Florida roofer's licence yourself
Search the licence number at the Florida DBPR licence portal. A roofing contractor holds a CCC (certified) or RC (registered) licence. If the number does not return an active record, that is the end of the conversation.
