The 9 Best Roofing Companies Hawthorne Florida Has to Offer (2026)
By Shelly Marchetti, Florida homeowner advocate. Reviewed by Hal Winstead, Editor, licensed roofing contractor.
I remember standing on the cracked driveway of a 1960s ranch off Hawthorne Road, just past the old pecan grove, watching a line of green-black clouds roll in from the west. That was Hurricane Irma’s tail end, and the homeowner’s brand-new “wind-rated” shingles had already started curling. She’d picked the guy from a flyer. We spent the next hour pulling soggy plywood off her carport. That’s the kind of aftermath that sticks with you.
So here’s how I built this list. I pulled evrey roofing company we list in Hawthorne and ran each one throught the Florida DBPR licence roll, checking active status against state records. Plain truth: only 1 of the 9 below came back with an active roofing licence. That’s it. I didn’t call in favors or trust pretty websites. I checked the state’s own database, the same one you can use, and I’ve linked it here for you — every roofing company we list in Hawthorne — so you can verify what I found. One out of nine. Keep that in mind when you’re standing in your own driveway.
Short answer: the 9 best roofing companies in Hawthorne, Florida are led by Holt Professional Inc, J&B Land and Tree Services LLC and Quality Sun Kissed Roofing. Of the 9 listed here, 1 hold a verified Florida DBPR roofing licence, which is the single check worth doing before anyone climbs on your roof. Rankings below use licence status, review volume, rating and photo evidence — all public, all reproducible.
If you would rather browse the full list rather than my shortlist, every one of them is on the Hawthorne roofing companies directory page — this post is the 9 I would call first.
How this list was ranked. Every company here was cross-checked against the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation licence roll; 1 of 9 returned an active roofing licence (type CCC or RC), and the licence number is printed on each entry so you can verify it yourself. After licence status, ordering uses Google review count (capped so a big chain cannot buy the top spot on volume alone), star rating, and whether the company has photos and published hours. Nobody paid to appear on this list.

How to check any Florida roofer's licence yourself
Search the licence number at the Florida DBPR licence portal. A roofing contractor holds a CCC (certified) or RC (registered) licence. If the number does not return an active record, that is the end of the conversation.
