13 Best Roofing Companies in Umatilla FL (2026)

By Shelly Marchetti, Florida homeowner advocate. Reviewed by Hal Winstead, Editor, licensed roofing contractor.

I remember standing on a driveway off Pine Avenue in Umatilla the morning after Hurricane Ian’s outer bands had punched throught. The house was a 1960s ranch with a low-pitched roof, the kind that catches wind like a sail. A neighbor’s tarp flapped half a block away. The homeowner just pointed at a line of missing shingles and the dark water stain spreading across the living room ceiling. That moment taught me what a roof really is. It’s not just shingles and decking. It’s the line betwen your couch and the sky.

So I made this list the plain way. I checked every company against the Florida DBPR licence roll, and 3 of the 13 below came back with an active roofing licence. That means for every roofing company we list in Umatilla, I could confirm a real, current credential behind the name. The others didn’t make the cut.

Short answer: the 13 best roofing companies in Umatilla, Florida are led by Massey Roofing, Jaco roofing LLC and J-II International, Inc. Of the 13 listed here, 3 hold a verified Florida DBPR roofing licence, which is the single check worth doing before anyone climbs on your roof. Rankings below use licence status, review volume, rating and photo evidence — all public, all reproducible.

If you would rather browse the full list rather than my shortlist, every one of them is on the Umatilla roofing companies directory page — this post is the 13 I would call first.

How this list was ranked. Every company here was cross-checked against the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation licence roll; 3 of 13 returned an active roofing licence (type CCC or RC), and the licence number is printed on each entry so you can verify it yourself. After licence status, ordering uses Google review count (capped so a big chain cannot buy the top spot on volume alone), star rating, and whether the company has photos and published hours. Nobody paid to appear on this list.
