11 Roofing Companies in Thonotosassa, Florida (2026)

By Shelly Marchetti, Florida homeowner advocate. Reviewed by Hal Winstead, Editor, licensed roofing contractor.

A wet microburst came throught Harney Road one July afternoon and put an oak limb straight through the tile roof of a single-story ranch house in a neighborhood near the Thonotosassa wildlife preserve. Rain poured into the living room while the homeowner stood on the lawn with a plastic tarp, trying to figure out wether her insurance would even pick up the call. I remember that helpless shrug. It’s why I do this.

I checked every company against the Florida DBPR licence roll. Four of the 11 below came back with an active roofing licence. That was the whole cutoff. The others were lapsed, expired, or never registered. I cross-checked those active names and their complaint histories with every roofing company we list in Thonotosassa, because the state record is the one that matters.

Short answer: the 11 best roofing companies in Thonotosassa, Florida are led by Greentek Roofing & Solar, LLC, Brandon Roofing and Alvarez Roofing. Of the 11 listed here, 4 hold a verified Florida DBPR roofing licence, which is the single check worth doing before anyone climbs on your roof. Rankings below use licence status, review volume, rating and photo evidence — all public, all reproducible.

If you would rather browse the full list rather than my shortlist, every one of them is on the Thonotosassa roofing companies directory page — this post is the 11 I would call first.

How this list was ranked. Every company here was cross-checked against the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation licence roll; 4 of 11 returned an active roofing licence (type CCC or RC), and the licence number is printed on each entry so you can verify it yourself. After licence status, ordering uses Google review count (capped so a big chain cannot buy the top spot on volume alone), star rating, and whether the company has photos and published hours. Nobody paid to appear on this list.
